Triple Crowne Goods

was a dollar store/art show at Stream Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Artworks were curated according to and aesthetically mixed with imported products typical to dollar stores in the surrounding Bushwick neighborhood. The concept for the pop-up store was that the show and its workers were paid by the dollar store items rather than the sale of art. A promotional photoshoot advertising Chinese products in an American style was sent to participants, both artist and spectator. The project also had a web presence on Facebook and as a website.

The project's aim was to comment on the cultural meaning of "Made in China", the appropriative nature of the artist's identity, and the impact of commercial aesthetics on artistic production.
